New Set...

It has been SO long since I have made a new set to list on Ebay. I have decided that I am just far too busy to do custom sets so this one is a One Of a Kind for sizes 2-3T. I am kinda sad to see it go, but I know it will make another little girl so happy. Here are a few pictures from our shoot.

This face is one of those rare lucky shots that so fully explains what she was feeling.

Thrifty fun!

Just a few finds from this weekend. First, an awesome thing to cut cheese on. I won't be cutting any cheese on it, but it is looks lovely on my counter. Second, old lady fabric. Oh how I love thee old lady fabric. And last, but certainly not least, a pair of Bear Feet shoes! Now for the biggie.... They were $2.00! I know, I know.... INSANE!

The greatest place on earth...

or close to it anyway! This is the Wonders of Wildlife museum. It is a little bit of a drive from where we live, but well worth it. Marley had been when she was not even a year old and we hadn't taken her back since then so we decided it was time. The baby in the picture is Marley the first time we took her. The other pictures are from the latest trip. This place is unbelievable. It is like an indoor zoo! When you are inside parts of it you forget that you are inside because they have made it looks so real. So our first stop was my favorite and I am pretty sure most everyone's favorite... the otter! Who knew she would be scared of the little guy?!?! She eventually warmed up to him, but stayed a safe distance away from the glass. She then went on to tell me that he swims like Ariel and she thinks he is really a mermaid! So she was scared of quite possibly the cutest animal ever, but then we go to the sharks and she thinks they are awesome and isn't scared of them at all! She also wasn't scared of the snakes! What kind of a kid is this?!?! She even wanted to stand of the little ledge of the snake aquariums so she could see them better. Ummm... I know you aren't supposed to stand on the ledge, but if you don't want little kids standing on it then make the tank lower so they can see! Common Sense! Anyway... It was a fun filled day and we got LOTS of footage of everything for a video that my husband is helping a friend make. I hope to be able to share the video when it is done! Here are some of the pictures...

Easter?

Just curious... who decided that to celebrate easter we would color and hide eggs? If you really stop and think about it, that is just crazy! Oh well, it is still a blast! We started our Easter day by coloring some eggs and then of course got all dressed up for the hunt! Marley loves easter eggs and we actually have some out from last year that she still plays with (the plastic ones of course). I remember last year it was sooo hot hunting for eggs that when we opened the eggs the chocolate was all melted to a liquid state. The picture in the pink dress is from last year. Notice the red cheeks? It was seriously really stinking hot! This year she had to wear a jacket and boots and it was still a little too chilly to stay out for very long. Weird. She also insisted on wearing every piece of jewelry the "Easter Bunny" brought her. I felt that Marley was still a little too small to be battling for eggs in one of our communities public eggs hunts so we just had a small violence free hunt with her cousins. Maybe next year she can fight other kids for her eggs, haha! I hope you had a wonderful easter full of family and fun! Enjoy the pictures of ours!

I'm Back!

It has been way too long since my last post, but I feel that I have a good reason... Here she is! I decided that I needed to stay off of the computer for a little while after she was born. I have been very good and have even cut down how many times I check my ebay boards too. I am pretty proud of myself for that. I am still not going to be on the computer much, but I want to update my blog at least every other day if not more. Alright, there is my official explanation for my absence. Please forgive me.

Watercolors! What could be more fun?!?

Today seemed like the perfect day for some water coloring! I was right! It WAS the perfect day! This painting only took her about an hour. If you look closely you will see sooo many different things. I will help you to see them. There is a blue dolphin, lots of fireworks in all different colors, an airplane, fish, circles and so much more. As I was sitting on the floor for almost an hour I thought... man, it is a good thing that I like watercolors too! So of course there are a few of my little bits of art in there too. Under the strict supervision of Marley I was told to make a pair of scissors, a tree, a purple tree and a daddy with a green hat. This lovely piece of work now lives on the refrigerator along with all of the other great works of art that have been created in our home. It makes me happy every time I walk into the kitchen and remember how carefully she picked each and every color to use and how much thought she put into making each and every little line. Wonderful!

Something everyone should know how to do...

is hem pants! Not just hem them, but hem them without making them look really dorky. We have probably all seen the pants that were hemmed by just chopping off the excess length and then being left all nerdy looking with no original factory finish. It just isn't a pretty thing. Well... No longer will you be a nerd if you read this! Not to be terribly mean, but this is a post somewhat dedicated to my mother. She means well when hemming pants, but lets face it... the finished product just isn't the greatest. Sorry Ma! Okay... off you go now! There is no excuse for pants being way too long anymore!

Martha... Martha... Martha...

I know a lot of people don't necessarily "love" Martha Stewart, but come on... she is one crafty lady. Seems a little anal at times, but I suppose we all can be. I was searching through her valentine crafts and ran across this little craft here. I know that a lot of people made these in elementary school, but I guess I was deprived of the thrill of this craft because I have NEVER made these! After my two year old and I rummaged through her crayon box for all of our favorite colors (her favorite coloring being purple), we started peeling off the paper. Oh yeah, and since when did it become so hard to get the paper off of crayons? Crazy! Anyway... we ran them through a pencil sharpener and melted them in between wax paper and voila! I cut them out and hung them in the window and who knows if I will even take them down after Valentines day is over! Now I KNOW these don't exactly look like Martha's, but Martha probably didn't have a two year old picking out the colors and helping her do all of the other steps. These also aren't the greatest pictures, but I have waited for a sunny day for about a week now and it just doesn't seem to be happening any time soon.
